It seems Jazmine Sullivan has retired her crowbar—for now. After busting windows and walking with tigers, the Philly-bred songstress is back with a new single, ”Holdin’ You Down (Going in Circles)” and the video set to premiere this upcoming Monday—August 3oth—on BET’s 106th and Park. Directed by Marcus Raboy, the video follows Jazmine as she and her girls prep for an 80’s old school hip-hop house party. With cameos from Missy, Doug E. Fresh, Pepa from Salt N Pepa, Pete Rock and Kwame; the video is a blazing return. Written by Sullivan, the Missy Elliott produced track is jam-packed full of samples (most notably from Nas and Slick Rick) and is the perfect pre-cursor of what we can expect from her sophomore album, Love Me Back.
